Who We Are

Remasa, located in the south-central region of the state of Paraná and northern Santa Catarina, was founded in 1973 and since then has structured its business to produce high quality forests, serving the forestry market in Brazil and the world. In 2012 Remasa attracted new investments and intensified the acquisition of existing forest assets, becoming one of the largest independent producers of pine logs in Brazil, with a production capacity of 600 thousand tons / year of wood.
Committed to Corporate Responsibility, Remasa has a professional management, supported and guided by an Executive Board and by a Board of Directors, where we seek to adopt the best practices of Corporate Governance. We understand that compliance and accountability are fundamental pillars of our Organization, thus, we continuously submit ourselves to Big Four audits.

Preservation of the environment
Great place to work

Our forests are located in the center-south of the state of Paraná and in the north of the state of Santa Catarina, a region where pine has one of the largest productivities in the world and in an area with a consolidation of planted forests.

Our forests are 100% certified by the FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®), one of the most important certifiers of the forest production system in the world, with presence in more than 75 countries and in all continents.

This certification represents Remasa’s commitment to sustainability, care for the environment, and in maintaining a good relationship with the communities in the region where it operates.

In order to achieve recertification in 2016, the Remasa Group has continuously fulfilled all the conditions required by FSC® in forest management, ensuring environmental, economic and social benefits through transparent, democratic and inclusive processes.
The forest´s certification ensures that the wood used in a given product comes from a production process managed in an ecologically appropriate, socially just and economically viable way.

"The FSC® certification honors us with the certainty that our production process is in continuous improvement and reinforces our responsibility to offer the best to our customers, employees, suppliers and surrounding communities." – Gilson Geronasso, vice president of the Remasa Group.

We take great pride in being a Great Place to Work® certified company. In 2019 Remasa was awarded as the 4th best company to work for in the state of Paraná (within the category of medium-sized companies – 100 to 999 employees). In 2020, we received a National Award – Remasa was awarded the 2nd best workplace in the Agriculture industry in Brazil, also within the category of medium-sized companies.

The awards are a recognition of the history Remasa Group built over the years with ethics, respect, responsibility and commitment, values that are perpetuated in our company. They are also a validation of our culture, in which we respect, care for, and develop each of our employees, always prioritizing safety. Furthermore, they show that our employees are proud to work at Remasa.

“It is with great pride and satisfaction that we receive Great Place to Work® awards. Remasa Group strives to keep all our employees committed to results, acting rightly, engaged, and enjoying what they do. Our efforts have been producing gratifying results,” says the CEO of the Remasa Group, Alceu Gugelmin Jr.

Our brand, stamped in all our products and services, assures our customers that the product acquired comes from an ecologically appropriate, socially fair and economically viable production process and complies with the required quality standards.
